Today, on FND Awareness Day, we are proud to officially launch FND In Focus 2026–2027, an annual video competition hosted by Not Defined by FND, a nonprofit public charity dedicated to increasing awareness, education, and understanding of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).

This launch is more than an announcement—it’s part of a global moment of recognition, reflection, and advocacy for the FND community.

And we’re inviting you to be part of it!

💡 This Year’s Theme: Flip the Script on FND

Each year, FND In Focus centers around a creative theme designed to spark conversation and challenge misconceptions.

For 2026–2027, our theme is:

We’re inviting participants to reframe the narrative around Functional Neurological Disorder—how it is understood, represented, and talked about.

There is no single correct interpretation. Whether you’re sharing lived experience, challenging stigma, educating others, or using creative storytelling to spark awareness, your voice has power.

🎥 What is FND In Focus?

FND In Focus is a short-form video competition where participants create 60-second videos that help raise awareness about Functional Neurological Disorder.

It is a platform for:

• Storytelling

• Advocacy

• Education

• Creativity

• Community connection

We welcome participants of all experience levels from across the United States. No professional filmmaking background is required—just your perspective and your willingness to help create change.

🌍 Why This Matters (Especially Today)

Functional Neurological Disorder is often misunderstood, and stigma can create barriers to diagnosis, care, and support.

On FND Awareness Day, we recognize the importance of changing that narrative.

Through storytelling and creative expression, FND In Focus aims to:
