Growing with Intention: Updates to Our Connect & Inspire Events

At Not Defined By FND, connection has always been an important part of what we do — but it’s only one piece of our larger mission. From advocacy and awareness efforts to educational initiatives and support groups, our work extends far beyond social activities.

Our Connect & Inspire activities were created as a small, fun extension of that mission — a way to build community through shared experiences like book discussions, movie nights, and game nights.

As we continue balancing all of our programs, we’re making a small but intentional adjustment:

• Our Event Nights will shift to a quarterly schedule instead of monthly.

• When we do gather, the focus will be on interactive games rather than movie nights, which allow for more participation, laughter, and flexibility — especially for smaller groups.

We’ll be posting the upcoming Event Night schedule on our Event Nights page very soon, so you can plan ahead and join in the fun.

Our Unity in Words Book Club is here to stay. Because it’s fully online through discussion boards, it remains an easy and meaningful way for our community to engage at their own pace.

These updates allow us to continue offering connection opportunities while prioritizing sustainability and impact across our broader programs.

We also want to extend an invitation to you. If anyone feels inspired to help guide or spark conversation within the book discussion threads or host a game night in the future, we would love to support you in making that happen. This community is strongest when we build it together.
